I have been working on my feathers this week which are taking forever. Everything for this particular piece of work is supposed to look very hand made and quickly knocked together. It's supposed to have the feel of a home made fancy dress costume. Of course, it's going to take ages but in the words of a personal guru of mine, Kate Toss: "look like you have spent 5 minutes getting dressed when actually you have spent hours, maybe even days, planning your outfit." (citation needed)
